These courses give guidance to completing Samson's splicer certification program and allow users to achieve certification for a single splice method. The first course is "Fabrication Techniques 101" which will explain the basic terminology and concepts of splicing. This course can be completed if needed, or skipped if the learner is already proficient in splicing. The Certification course will guide learners on how to submit a sample to Samson so that the sample can be evaluated to confirm the splice has been completed successfully and in accordance to Samson standard practices. Rope that is used for the sample evaluation process is not included with the purchase of this course. 1st initial assignment will ask the learner to identify the rope product and diameter they will be using for certification. The course instructor will give the learner a splicer certification form to utilize to build their samples to the specified measurements and configuration requested through the certification form. Evaluation parameters and what evaluators will look for will be outlined in a tutorial video as well as on the certification form. Splice instructions by document and/or video are available for the learner to review. It is highly recommended that the learner reviews to ensure all steps and procedures are followed by the latest set of instructions. Finally, the last assignment will guide the learner on how to submit samples to Samson. Read more
